2Birds Mallorca takes an innovative approach to wine tasting that extends beyond ‘Can you smell the stone fruit?’ We explore the impact of ​nature versus nurture​, demystifying how these powers contribute to the cultivation of wine. How does the collaboration between the winemaker’s toolbox and nature’s forces guide the final product? How do winemakers’ choices about harvest timing, types of barrels for aging, and varieties of yeast for fermentation influence a wine? The nature versus nurture dance begins before bud burst and continues until the wine is in the bottle.

HOW 2BIRDS BUILT ITS NEST
It was Mallorca’s own Father Junipero Serra who brought vine cuttings from Spain to California in the 1700s, establishing California’s first vineyards aside the missions. So it seems providential that a wine company owner from Napa Valley and a sommelier/entrepreneur from California's Central Vally each found a separate and serendipitous path to Mallorca. This viticultural bond created between the wine regions of California and Spain and the shared passion for everything enology, sparked an instant kinship between Kristy and Eve, giving them the inspiration to build 2Birds Wine Tasting.
